From shod to barefoot
There are many reasons to transition your horse from shod to barefoot. Horses kept in a herd environment may not be shod to decrease the risk of injuries. We know traditional horseshoes can affect the natural hoof mechanism. Traveling barefoot on surfaces encourages sole, frog and heel growth and improves the overall quality of the hoof. These reasons are valid when wanting to ditch she shoes. But how do we transition our horses from one to the other? We have answered some of the most common questions in a free eBook for you.

OUR VISION
We love horses, and we believe they should be free to express their natural spirit and needs, including the freedom to move as nature intended. In Switzerland, the extensive amount of challenging terrain that we need to travel before we reach the enchanted views of our great mountains prohibit barefoot riding.
As a family, we decided to rise to the challenge: Creating a boot that would protect the hoof while enabling our horses to move freely in demanding, often wet, snowy and even icy terrain - ideally without the restrictions of metal shoes. Thanks to our partner Gudo AG, our dream has come true.
Our goal remains to maximise the horses comfort.
