The Swiss Galoppers is primarily designed as a riding boot. The “SG” covers most hoof shapes and is available in six sizes. For horses with long hooves, prominent bulbs, and high heels, we recommend the “SG-L”. This slightly longer hoof boot is also available in six sizes. For horses with asymmetrical hooves or club feet, the Swiss Galoppers is less suitable. In such cases, prior testing is highly recommended. The “SG” is not suitable as a therapy boot. The Swiss Galoppers should only be used for riding and should be checked regularly.
We receive feedback from many customers that our hoof boot is very easy and comfortable to handle. Thanks to the strong sole profile and low wear, the Swiss Galoppers can be used for a long time and in any season. The “SG-X” is suitable for challenging winter conditions (snow/ice). The shock-absorbing and anti-rotation insole is not only comfortable for young horses but also benefits sensitive and older horses. After a laminitis condition or with arthritis, the SG allows for pain-free movement with a natural gait. However, the Swiss Galoppers is primarily designed as a riding boot.
To ensure that you choose the right size for your horse, it is important that the hooves are measured accurately and according to our specifications.

Various stress tests and customer experiences confirm that the Swiss Galoppers lasts about twice as long as other hoof boots. Swiss Galoppers are primarily suitable for trail and endurance riders. Swiss Galoppers were not developed for competition sports. In Switzerland, the use of hoof boots is not allowed in dressage tests (part of eventing). However, hoof boots are permitted in show jumping, eventing, and endurance riding.
The FN competition regulations in Germany generally allow the use of hoof boots in competitions, provided they do not extend beyond the coronet band – which is the case with Swiss Galoppers when used without a pastern strap.
The pastern strap is designed to provide additional support to the Swiss Galoppers, especially at the bulbs. Using the Swiss Galoppers without a pastern strap is generally possible but is explicitly not recommended.
No! The Swiss Galoppers is primarily a riding boot and is not suitable for use in the paddock or stall in case of illness. It should only be used under constant supervision. The risk is too great that a slipping boot or small stones inside the boot would not be noticed immediately, causing chafing on the horse.
